Mother’s Day Flowers

This year, Hoog Catharijne shopping center in Utrecht decided to go all out for Mother’s Day. After the challenging past two years, it was time to give mothers some extra love and appreciation. To celebrate, they created the Mommy Mall, a special space where mothers were pampered during the Mother’s Day weekend. And of course, flowers played a central role.

To bring the Mommy Mall to life, we were tasked with three different assignments: a small indoor garden at the entrance, a floral arrangement for photo backgrounds, and 500 individual Mother’s Day roses. All these elements had to come together as one cohesive whole.

Mother’s Day Flowers for the Indoor Garden

Right at the entrance of the Mommy Mall, we created a charming indoor garden. This small garden had an area of approximately 1.5 square meters. We filled it with classic Mother’s Day flowers and lush greenery to create a beautiful base. For vibrant pops of color, we added delphiniums, peonies, and gladioli, giving the garden an inviting and cheerful look.

The Mother’s Day Floral Arrangement

The goal of the floral arrangement was to be breathtaking yet elegant. To achieve this, we styled it in a cylindrical vase. We used a mix of hydrangeas, phalaenopsis orchids, pink tulips, pink avalanche roses, and peonies, which resulted in a stunning display. The arrangement exuded sophistication and warmth, making it the perfect centerpiece for Mother’s Day.

The Mother’s Day Roses

Finally, we provided the roses that were given as gifts to mothers. For this, we chose pink avalanche roses, which have a soft, light pink hue. Their delicate appearance makes them the perfect Mother’s Day flower. Each rose was individually wrapped as a gift and handed out to all the mothers who visited.
