What begins as a modest bud opens into a voluminous pink sphere, then slowly fades from rose to creamy white from the inside out. With a fresh, sweet fragrance and a full, bomb-shaped bloom, she commands attention in the most graceful way.

Awarded the prestigious Gold Medal by the American Peony Society in 2005, Angel Cheeks was recognized for her exceptional bloom size, vase performance, and presentation. Discovered in 1975 by renowned breeder Carl G. Klehm—creator of classics like Pillow Talk, Dinner Plate, and Bowl of Cream—this variety carries a lineage of beauty and brilliance.

Angel Cheeks is a showstopper—opening from a modest bud into a generous, glowing sphere of pink that fades softly to white. With a sweet scent and remarkable bloom size, she’s a peony that transforms quickly and completely. To enjoy her at her most spectacular, follow these care steps:


1. Remove all packaging with care to protect the delicate outer petals.


2. Use clean, sharp floral shears to cut 2–3 cm from each stem at a 45° angle under running water.


3. Angel Cheeks blooms can grow up to four times their original size—give them room to open fully.


4. Slightly warm water encourages the blooms to unfurl more evenly.


5. This keeps the water clear and prevents bacteria from forming.


6. Refresh with clean water each day and re-trim the stems every two days to extend vase life.


7. Place the vase in a cool area away from direct sunlight, heaters, or drafts.


8. These blooms open quickly—watch as each day brings new volume, color, and lightness to the arrangement.
