Chinese ink has long been a prestigious and unique material, admired by artists and philosophers for its intense black hue and ancestral mystery. The Encre de Chine scented candle pays tribute to this heritage. Encased in elegant, deep black glass, this candle serves as a timeless decorative object, diffusing a refined and sophisticated atmosphere into your home.

Character: A powerful, leathery, and deeply woody fragrance. The scent reveals the patina of leather, the vertical strength of sequoia, and the warmth of amber in an enveloping composition with subtle smoky nuances. It evokes wild, silent landscapes steeped in mystery and tradition.

Care Instructions

To maintain the quality of your candle and ensure a perfect burn, please follow these care steps:

  • The First Burn: The first time you light your candle, allow it to burn until the entire surface has liquefied. This initial burn takes longer but prevents the formation of unattractive craters.
  • Full Liquid Surface: Each time the candle is burned, ensure the entire surface is liquid before extinguishing. This guarantees an even burn for the life of the candle.
  • Wick Maintenance: Keep the wicks trimmed to approximately 5 mm to ensure a clean flame and prevent smoke.
  • Safety: Never burn the last 1 cm (1/2 inch) of wax to avoid the flame burning directly against the glass.

Where we deliver

Monday to Friday we deliver across the whole of the Netherlands, Flanders and Brussels, between 17:00 and 22:30. At weekends we deliver in the Amsterdam and Utrecht regions and the Randstad, free of charge around Amsterdam and Utrecht. We do not deliver to the Wadden Islands.
