What is Fidrio?
A Dutch glassware house whose vases are blown by mouth rather than pressed in a mould. That is why no two are identical: the wall thickness varies slightly, there is a faint spiral where the glass turned, and the colour sits inside the glass instead of on it.
Fidrio works in more than eighty finishes, from clear and smoked to the milky Lila Luster and the speckled Tundra. The same shape in two finishes reads as two completely different vases.
The shapes, and what they hold
Oval and Parma are the workhorses, wide enough for a full hand tied bouquet. Oblique leans, so a few long stems fall naturally to one side. Bolvase is the round one, best with a short dense bunch and nothing else.
Organic and Gloriosa have irregular walls and want a loose, wild arrangement. Pax and Nuovo are narrow and made for a single stem, which is the cheapest way to make a hallway look considered.
