Which flowers are in season in winter
Amaryllis is the winter flower. One stem carries four heads and it opens over a week, so a single stalk does the work of a small bouquet. Hellebore, the Christmas rose, flowers when nothing else does.
Anemone runs from November, ranunculus starts in January, and tulips arrive earlier every year. Add branches and berries and you have a winter bouquet that holds longer than a summer one, because the rooms are colder.
Deep colour or white
