About Baobab Scented Candle - Vony Ahitra

The Ahitra scented candle is a stunning masterpiece, hand-embroidered by a women's cooperative in Madagascar. Encased in natural raffia adorned with colorful flowers, it features lavender, sunflowers, and poppies interpreted with spontaneous grace. Each stitch represents hours of meticulous craftsmanship. This soothing candle evokes the serenity of a path lined with wild grasses, bringing a sense of peace and identity to your home.

Character: The fragrance opens with the intense freshness of mint, followed by the earthy depth of vetiver. Ylang-ylang adds a warm, sunny floral touch to this aromatic composition.

Care Instructions

To maintain the quality of your candle and ensure a perfect burn, please follow these care steps:

  • The First Burn: The first time you light your candle, allow it to burn until the entire surface has liquefied. This initial burn takes longer but prevents the formation of unattractive craters.
  • Full Liquid Surface: Each time the candle is burned, ensure the entire surface is liquid before extinguishing. This guarantees an even burn for the life of the candle.
  • Wick Maintenance: Keep the wicks trimmed to approximately 5 mm to ensure a clean flame and prevent smoke.
  • Safety: Never burn the last 1 cm (1/2 inch) of wax to avoid the flame burning directly against the glass.

Monday to Friday we deliver across the whole of the Netherlands, Flanders and Brussels, between 17:00 and 22:30. At weekends we deliver in the Amsterdam and Utrecht regions and the Randstad, free of charge around Amsterdam and Utrecht. We do not deliver to the Wadden Islands.
