Care Instructions for Your Vienna Hydrangeas

To enjoy the full beauty and long vase life of your Vienna hydrangeas, follow these simple steps:

  1. Cut 1–2 cm off the stems at a sharp angle using clean scissors or a floral knife. This opens up the stem for better water intake.
  2. Hydrangeas prefer warm water (around 60°C). Fill a clean vase and place the stems in immediately after trimming.
  3. Refresh the water daily or every other day. Each time, rinse the vase and re-trim the stems slightly to keep them hydrated.
  4. If the blooms begin to soften, remove the stems and dip the bottom ends in boiling water for about 30–60 seconds. Then return them to clean, warm water—this can help rehydrate and restore firmness.
  5. Display your bouquet away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or ripening fruit. A cool, shaded area will help extend their freshness.
