Sweet verena – Care Instructions

Care Instructions for Your Hydrangea Bouquet

To keep your hydrangeas full, fresh, and beautifully hydrated, follow these steps:

  1. Cut 1–2 cm off each stem at an angle using clean scissors or a floral knife. This helps them drink more easily.
  2. Fill your vase with warm water (around 60°C). Hydrangeas prefer this temperature to stay fully hydrated.
  3. Change the water every other day. Re-trim the stems each time and rinse the vase to prevent bacteria buildup.
  4. If the blooms begin to soften or wilt, separate the stems and submerge the bottom ends in boiling water for 30 seconds, then return them to fresh warm water. This can help rehydrate and revive them.
  5. Avoid direct sunlight, drafts, and ripening fruit, which can shorten their vase life.
